Santalum album 3% dilution in Jojoba Oil

Sandalwood is a slow growing parasitic tree that is in the same botanical family as the European mistletoe. The many uses of Sandalwood goes back over 4000 years and the trees have been over harvested for centuries and are now protected and their harvest controlled by the government. It can take thirty to sixty years for a tree to reach full maturity before it is cut down to collect the roots and wood to be distilled. Making this oil extremely expensive. Sandalwood is used by aromatherapists for bronchitis, acne, chapped and dry skin, depression and stress, laryngitis, leucorrhea, oily skin, scars, sensitive skin, stress, and stretch marks. It also has been used heavily for meditation and for religious ceremonies. Sandalwood creates an exotic, sensual mood with a reputation as an aphrodisiac. It is extensively used in the perfume industry. It blends well with: Bergamot, Clove, Jasmine, Lavender, Myrrh, Patchouli, Rose and Ylang-ylang.

Though the aroma is mild in this 3% dilution it is still suitable as a perfume and for it's uses in aromatherapy.
